I really liked hearing about Kathy Ireland's response to the abortion issue on Mike Huckabee's radio program. The way she put it (and I'm paraphrasing here) was something like:

If the "thing" in the womb is not a human being, no justification for abortion is necessary. If, however, it IS a human being, no justification is adequate.

I love how clear and concise that is and how it really keeps the issue on point, away from "Christian rhetoric" and makes people really think about the nature of the fetus and whether or not it is or is not a human being.

Once the argument starts to focus in that direction rather than on what the Bible says (since not everyone views the Bible as authoritative), it then becomes an issue of science and medicine to show the human nature of the embryo or fetus which then can hopefully lead people to understand that abortion is immoral.

Just my $.02.
