Ed Rollins (political director for President Reagan and also a Republican strategist for former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee’s 2008 presidential campaign) has written a great piece on how Obama lost it when it passed over Hillary and went with Biden over at CNN.

On a different note, did anyone note the irony (hypocrisy) of Obama’s Democratic Convention speech when he spoke of how qualified women shouldn’t be passed over for men. I was waiting for cameras to zoom in on Hillary’s face…but they didn’t.

Read Ed Rollin’s “Commentary: Obama wrong to spurn Hillary, pick Biden” over at CNN.

On Monday, Clinton spoke in kind.

“It is a great accomplishment,” Clinton said of Palin’s selection as the GOP’s first female running mate. Clinton told a rally of 500 that the election will be decided on issues, not the historical significance of the candidates, and Democrat Barack Obama and his running mate Joe Biden bring more to the table than the Republican ticket.
