Has Pastor Rick Warren caved to liberals?

There’s a new article from Life Site News suggesting that Pastor Rick Warren has caved to liberals on the issue of same-sex unions. I’m not fully convinced that this is the case, but he does seem to be growing soft with respect to key issues facing Christians in America.

Full story from Life Site on Rick Warren.

OBVIOUISLY Mr. Warren is a government/media complex pawn. Praying at Mr B. HUSSEIN Obama’s “swearing in” when he should have publicly given him and much of America a Bible based toung lashing.

I think that perhaps what Rick Warren is caving in to is Jesus Christ. Too many advocates against Gay marriage allow themselves to speak in a cruel, cold, unloving way of those people living with Same Sex Attraction (Gay identity). As a person with Same Sex Attraction myself (a chaste one), for many years I felt all Christians would hate me and so therefore rejected Christ. Thank God I had a change of heart when I realized there were Christians — like Rick Warren and the Pope— who loved me and so showed me the love the Christ had for me.

I accepted Christ, and after a struggle accepted the Bible and the Church’s position on marriage and chastity. But there are lots of other Gay people out there that don’t yet know that Christ loved them too, and that there are Christians who can love them as fellow believers (while remaining lovingly firm on the Christian teachings about marriage.)

The key to the success of the same-sex marriage movement is to portray Christians as haters. If we are filled with Christ’s love, it makes their job that much harder!
