Former University of Colorado football coach will return as the head of the nation’s once popular Promise Keepers movement. Known in the 1990s as the premier Christian men’s movement in America, Promise Keepers has since lost influence. McCartney left Promise Keepers in 2003 on account of his wife Lyndi’s poor health. It is hoped that his return to the organziation will reestablish the outreach and influence that Promise Keepers once held.
